As part of our Art & Music program, the young artist will share her music with attendees at the exhibition opening. Patricia obtained a Bachelor's degree in Music from the Higher Institute of Art in Havana (ISA) last January, specializing in violin. By then, she had already gained considerable experience in concerts, special events, and studio recordings. With a formidable talent for chamber music and classical music, she already masters the technical aspects of violin performance and is accustomed to eliciting feelings of admiration and respect from audiences.

The National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) is a dynamic, non-profit organization that fosters and maintains a community of ceramic art, teaching, and learning. In addition to deepening knowledge within the field, NCECA expands it by working to cultivate the next generation of ceramic artists and enthusiasts through programming that affects professional artists, K-12 schools, community centers, universities, museums, galleries, businesses, organizations, collectors, and ceramic art enthusiasts. Currently comprising approximately 4,000 members from the United States and more than 20 foreign countries, NCECA reaches thousands of additional people each year through its programs, publications, events, exhibitions, and resources.

CLM 73rd Annual Member's Exhibition

A project of the Ceramic League of Miami with the Fine Arts Ceramic Center

The Fine Arts Ceramic Center and the Ceramic League of Miami have joined forces to promote appreciation for ceramic arts and educate their members and the general public on all aspects of this unique art form. In collaboration with the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Americas in Kendall, the Ceramic League of Miami presented its annual exhibition, which included a featured presentation by master ceramicist Tom Coleman. This renowned creator delivered a keynote lecture on his work and inspiring creative experiences. A significant group of ceramic artists showcased their latest creations and enjoyed hours of exchange with fellow guests.

Artist Set the Table

A collaboration between the Fine Art Ceramic Center and MoCA-Americas
with the hARTvest project at Pinecrest Gardens.

On the morning of Sunday, February 19th, the exhibition "Artist Set the Table" was inaugurated, curated by the hARTvest project in collaboration with the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Americas of Kendall (MoCA-Americas Kendall). This exhibition makes available to the public over one hundred plates made by important Cuban artists belonging to the Rodriguez Collection. A good number of families visiting Pinecrest Gardens this Sunday stopped to enjoy the exhibition throughout the day. Because the park provides an ideal setting for bringing art created by community artists into contact with a more heterogeneous audience that may not necessarily frequent galleries, it promotes not only entertainment but also artistic education and the promotion of art practice among new generations.

Premiere of Arturo Montoto's presentation at the MoCA-Americas

With Manuscript in a Bottle, Master Montoto exhibits his first solo show in the United States.

On Friday, January 20th, 2023, the exhibition "Manuscript in a Bottle" by renowned Cuban artist Arturo Montoto was inaugurated. This exhibition was conceived and coordinated by the director of MoCA-A and the artist himself, starting in August of last year.

Months were spent selecting images, planning the exhibition layout, and creating promotional materials to present a selection of the artist's latest works and showcase his working philosophy and artistic concepts.

With this event the museum gave continuity to a longstanding and fruitful working relationship with the magazine’s editor and designer, Ximo Sánchez, currently based in Valencia, Spain. Sánchez has dedicated his long career to the publishing world, and in the promotion of Cuban art in Spain and the United States.

The CdeCuba editorial projectnotably presents the magazine’s newest issues in art galleries, cultural andartistic institutions, art fairs and book fairs in the United States (Miami,New York), Cuba (Havana), and Spain (Madrid, Valencia, Barcelona).

Textile and Fiber Art by Women Artists & The Rodríguez Collection as part of the Woman in the Arts Program.

The inaugural show of the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Americas (MoCA-Americas),Subverting Materials: Textile and Fiber Art by Women Artists, continues to serve as a platform for supporting women in the arts, and especially, the use of textile materials by women artists in their work. On the afternoon of December 15th, the show’s curator Francine Birbragher, with the support of MoCA-America’s team, invited guests–many of them collectors–for a tour of the show, and the museum.
